My Story

Hi, I’m Crystal, the founder of Good Energy Garden. Growing up with a backyard garden is where I learned from my dad how to organically enrich the soil and make the most of a small plot of land; mixing together herbs, flowers and a plethora of greens, veggies and fruits. Having a kitchen garden became a way of life! Due to a recent health crisis, I rededicated myself to an organic kitchen garden lifestyle, avoiding unhealthy chemicals and sprays, to allow the full growth potential of nature’s energy in vibrant plants. This is my passion and I desire to share it with you too!

As the owner of Good Energy Garden, my desire to bring kitchen gardens to every backyard stems from the magical childhood memories of watching seeds develop into plants and plants grow into food. However, as an adult who developed an autoimmune disease, my reasons have shifted to include an urgency for improving the health benefit of our food. The name of my business intentionally points to the need for gardeners, farmers and the greater food industry to provide healthier food through healthier growing methods. Our food no longer possesses the nutrients needed to sustain good energy and health at the cellular level. Dr. Casey Means, author of the book Good Energy, states, “As a nation, we are experiencing a health crisis which is a reflection of a destroyed ecosystem.” By adopting the Good Energy name, my hope is to educate the gardener and others that growing our own food is not just about a few fresh tomatoes in the summertime, it is about our long-term health.
